Hey all! I just got a new evo shift, as my old one decided not to work anymore. Anyway, ever since I got it and downloaded mobile accessibility, I've had trouble making and receiving calls. I'm not sure what the deal is, but a lot of times when I receive a call and go to slide my phone closed, I can't hear the caller or mobile accessibility anymore. Same when I leave it open, it's a very hit or miss situation. I wonder if that's a mobile accessibility bug, or if my phone is just a lemon? Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!
Its a bug that CF "code factery" needs to fix. However, you could just keep moble accessibility as your homescreen and use the new spiel.

Ah Ok. It was strange because even when I disabled mobile accessibility, I still wasn't able to hear anyone when I answered calls. Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it.
no problem, I am glad to help any one with android..
So, another question about my damn htc evo shift. It's not a moble accessibility question, but I didn't feel like making a new board. Lol. My touch screen is working very spottilike. What I mean is, sometimes it works an when I lock up my phone, someties it doesn't. It's really weird, and it only happened out of the lue. Anyone know anything about this issue, or is my screen just a pain in the ass?
If you think you're having issues with your touch screen, you're probably not doing anything wrong and you should probably return it and get a replacement. Personally I would throw that phone out and go for the galaxy nexus or at least the nexus S and get icecream sandwich and pretty soon jellybean, but that's just me. If you want to stick with an evo, then go ahead, but if your screen is going out then there's not a whole lot you can do. I would have never recommended that you get an HTC phone anyway, because stupid HTC breaks accessibility a lot of the time and I would have never recommended that you get mobile accessibility because it's an overpriced piece of buggy crap. Anyway... I'm done now...
I agree with the poster above my post about avoiding HTC like the plaig, I have one because at the time its what I could get for my budget. I am hoping to find someone to help me rid my phone of the HTC rom it has and put CM9 alpha 5 on the device.
Also if you have gingerbred moble accessibility is good for its home screen but out side of that HTC brakes moble accessibility's swip upe and swipe down gester. It also brakes the vertual keyboard from code factery while in a call. The keyboard when holding down your home key on the phone will not appear at all. With a shift this should not be a problem sense it has a hardware keyboard. Just to let people know if your a sprint user, or using sprints pre paid companies you get moble accessibility for free. its called wireless accessibilityN
It'sstill a piece of crap. I hate the keyboard, I hate its very unconfigurable home screen, I hate the fact that its own apps are buggy, let alone its support for other applications, I hate the notification bar bug that tells it to read every single thing with no way to shut it up, and I hate the voice simply because it's the one that iOS devices use and I hate iOS devices. OK, not a good reason, but still.
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat??? I get mobile accessibility for free? No fucking way!!! Pardon my French, but I'm getting a replacement Sunday and I'm gonna do it that way... Yeah, as for the evo, I'm kinda stuck with it till I can upgrade, because I don't wanna have to pay a million bucks for a new phone unless I can upgrade the thing. Lol.
I just leave moble accessibility as my home screen and use spiel for now. Waiting on talkback to see what its going to do after its out of beta stage.
I just wanted to thank all of you, especialy Dan for your input and your info about wireless accessability. I got a replacement phone, installed wireless accessability, and my issues are no more!!! So, Thanks!!! If I ever have another issue, I know the people to come to.
